02 Feb Boca Raton Man Signs On for Launch Pad, New Delray Beach Program Teaching Real-World Adulting Skills
A Boca Raton man is among the first participants in a new Delray Beach–based program designed to help young adults navigate life after school.
William Zucker of Boca Raton has joined Launch Pad, a residential program recently introduced by Space of Mind and its Community Classroom Project.
Though based in Delray Beach, the program is open to young adults nationwide.
Launch Pad serves people ages 18 to 26 and focuses on practical “adulting” skills — including time management, career planning, social development, and independent living.
Residents live together in downtown Delray Beach while taking part in a personalized mix of life coaching, workforce training, and community-building activities.
Owners say the program responds to rising levels of stress, anxiety, and isolation among young adults.
A recent Gallup study found that 25% of young men ages 18 to 25 report feeling lonely, while 57% say they experience daily stress.
Research from Beyond Booksmart also highlights challenges such as poor self-management skills, mental health struggles, and delayed life milestones.
“Many young adults leave school feeling unprepared for what comes next,” said Ali Kaufman, founder of Space of Mind, in a news release. “Launch Pad is about giving them the structure, guidance, and community they need to move forward with confidence.”
The program also includes coaching for parents to help families navigate the transition together.
Space of Mind was founded in 2004 and is headquartered at 102 North Swinton Avenue in Delray Beach.
The organization is expanding across the nation.
