Magical History Tour Day Six: Busch Gardens!!

Today, the coaches successfully pulled off what has come to be known as Operation Yorktown, a belated April Fools Day surprise day off from our history studies and a chance to unwind on some windy roller coasters!

The students were briefed on the bus on our pretend destination, the Yorktown battle field. Even as we pulled into the Busch Gardens parking lot, they still didn’t believe it.
See for yourself:
We had an amazing day! It was 50 degrees, not a cloud in the sky and there were barely any lines for the rides. Those who didn’t risk their lives on rides had fun watching the incredible animal shows. We ate plenty of junk food, got rosy from the sun and had a blast taking a day to just chill and share some laughs, mostly at Neil’s hysterics on every ride!
On a sugar high, we watched The Goonies on our bus ride to Raleigh, dropped Taylor at her dad’s house for the night and headed to the hotel for some pizza and a good night’s sleep.
Tomorrow we will be treated to some home hospitality with a yummy breakfast at Taylor’s family home and then head to Charleston for our last stop.
