We are so thankful for all of our families and coaches who have powered through these wild few months with grit and courage. This is an evolutionary time for education – and humanity – and Space of Mind is proud to be ready to lead more families like yours into a new learning paradigm.

As the whole country tries to figure out what to do for the back-to-school season, the Space of Mind team has been hard at work establishing our best approaches to reopening through lots of time spent:

• debriefing our transition to a Virtual Schoolhouse on March 13

• experiencing running on-campus summer camp with COVID-19 cleaning and social distancing

• zooming in at-home campers to join live on-campus campers

• reading about other schools’ and districts’ plans

• adjusting our curriculum & schedule to support self-contained, interdisciplinary, flexible, safe and small group instruction

• researching the science being documented around the world to inform our decisions

• talking with countless parents, professional providers, community leaders and amongst ourselves about what feels right and is the most responsible while weighing all options, risks and rewards
