What is Project-Based Learning, and why is it trending in education today? Designed as a way to integrate 21st Century skills into academic work, PBL allows students to critically examine a problem and create their own project-based inquiry and solutions using student-directed research, collaborations and even real-world experience like community service. As schools are quickly adapting this teaching methodology, more students - and classrooms - are thriving.

It’s time to think about summer plans! In just a couple of months, school’s out and parents will have a lot of time to fill for their children. That’s almost three months that will quickly fly by – unless, of course, your kids are bored. In that case, be ready for those storied summertime blues. There are a few key objectives that you should be sure to address sooner, rather than later, in order to have a stress-free summer.

School is a child’s full-time job. There isn’t really a paycheck, of course, but hours are logged, sweat equity is paid, and lessons are learned (sometimes the hard way). Like adults at work, students in today’s traditional school system face a daily grind that can be everything from fun to frantic. There’s little sleep at night and lots of stimulation and opportunities to miss a beat during the busy day. Students often go home tired, and even worse, uninspired.
