Magical History Tour Day Three: Jamestown & Williamsburg

We went back in time today to the start of our nation’s history. Our morning kicked off at Jamestown, easily one of the best and most engaging museums around! Our tour guide, Suzanne, was absolutely amazing! We walked through the museum exhibits and learned about the Native Americans and Europeans who came here to profit from the New World. We then explored the outside exhibits, including replicas of the ships the settlers traveled in for 100 days to get here!

After lunch and some rest, we headed to Colonial Williamsburg and got to spend time “in jail” and learned about the rules the Colonists lived by. We got to play some Colonial outside games, see the sheep, go through the maze made from landscaped hedges! We watched the drum and fife show before going to the Tavern for an authentic Colonial dinner and a celebration of Allie’s birthday 🙂
After dinner we hung out at the pool, the ping pong table and, of course, playing Uno in the lobby. We take our Uno games VERY seriously.
Tomorrow’s weather isn’t cooperating for our originsally scheduled plans but no worries, we have adjusted the schedule and will now be DC mid-day!
